75 rafters tackle the Clark Fork River at reunion ~ By Jason Shueh Valley Press
After a little under four hours of rafting, the Ward family reunion paddled themselves into “The Mouth,” a small inlet about 10 miles west of Plains. Sebastian Black, owner of Paradise Rafting, said it was the largest raft group he’s seen this year. Over 75 family members stayed with at the Lakeside Resort and Motel in Trout Creek, Montana.

About 1 hour from Trout Creek, Montana, Kootenai Falls is a popular sightseeing spot with lots of hiking trails.

Midway between Trout Creek, Montana, and Kootenai Falls, Montana, is The Ross Creek Giant Cedars. There is an easy, flat hiking trail through the cedars, as well as more difficult trails for more ambitious hikers.
Swinging bridge off one of the Kootenai Falls hiking trails. Fire lookout tower at Gem Peak Miles of trails are available for ATV's or bikes. We can accommodate groups, clubs, and even poker runs!

maintain several trails. The areas most popular trails - Marten Creek
drainage has a warming hut!
The Warming Hut is a great place to stop and have a lunch break. There is plenty
of firewood to start a fire and warm up. More information and trail maps are available
at the Lakeside Resort gift shop and motel office.
